Adoption Process

The process to adopt from FTSOBH is simple and is as follows, in most cases:

-Once you have contacted us with interest in adopting one of our adoptable pets, We will direct you to our application that you can fill out online! (There is a $15 application fee to ensure serious applicants)

-During the application reviewing process we may ask you a few questions to make sure the pet you are interested in is going to be the best fit, we may also ask to see pictures of your home and yard, OR if we feel there is another adoptable pet here that would better fit your situation we will introduce you to them at that time! We look for Safety, Stability, and Responsibility in our applicants homes. We may also give you advice on how to best accommodate the pet you wish to adopt from us upon seeing your home/yard set up!

- Then we schedule a time for you, your family, and any current dogs that are in the home, to come and meet the adoptable pet.

-If all goes well you would be able to adopt the pup after the meet and greet and take them home!

*In SOME cases we may request a home visit to ensure the pet is comfortable in the new environment and with its new people before we finalize the adoption, every pup is unique and some require slower introductions to new situations.*

The entire adoption process can be done in as little as 48hours, but we are very thorough in our "background checks" on potential adopters as these pets deserve the best!

*This process varies based on preexisting pets, and which pet you wish to adopt. We are VERY flexible! And our soul goal is to find the best fit for all humans and pets involved! We also never lose contact with our adopters and are constantly available for any questions/concerns for the entirety of the pets life! We strive to Always only be one phone call away!*
